The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce announced yesterday its Leadership Albuquerque Class of 2017—a group of 36 emerging community leaders who represent a variety of industry sectors. Leadership Albuquerque is an intensive educational symposium for community leaders which seeks to give in-depth perspectives and applicable knowledge on relevant issues to a group of high level business executives, business owners and non-profit leaders.
“Leadership Albuquerque connects leaders with opportunities to learn about the challenges that impact our diverse community,” said Mike Canfield, chair for the Leadership Albuquerque program and president/CEO of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. “It’s in these areas that they can get involved and make a difference. Along the way, we provide class members with the chance interact with notable community leaders as well as further develop their personal leadership skills. It’s a life changing professional development program.”
The 10-month program will kick off tomorrow, September 22 with a two-day leadership retreat to be held at Isleta Resort which will feature leadership training from former Navy SEAL Curt Cronin, the renowned Dale Carnegie Institute and Brookings Institute instructor Jeff Vargas of Generationology. See agenda for additional retreat content. Following the retreat, the class will meet every four to six weeks for curriculum days which focus on the top issues facing the community.
Congratulations to the Leadership Albuquerque class of 2017.
