To initiate and promote Chamber activities and membership
driven programs, in a manner that will attract and retain
membership and encourage participation in the Chamber as a
means to achieve business goals.

Schmooze-a-Paloozas –The
Chamber has luncheon events
which are excellent venues to make new
contacts and strengthen existing relationships. We typically
have between 200 to 600 attendees, many of whom are considered
the “who’s who” of the business community. A networking hour
(Schmooze-a-Palooza) proceeds the actual luncheon.

Connect –
Occurring five times a year, and free of charge,
the Chamber’s coolest after-hours networking event, called
“Connect,” aims to connect you with your future clients, future
customers and even future friends! This event will occur in
different quadrants around town – one in the NE, NW, SE, SW and
Downtown areas to help you make the connections you need to
make. Expo spaces will be available. The event will be
absolutely free for members to attend. All attendees will
receive hors d’oeuvres, goodie bag, and the chance to win
fabulous door prizes.
• Maximize Your Membership
Orientations – Now that you are a member of the state’s
largest business organization, come have free lunch on us. Learn
how to get the most out of your investment through an overview
of the Chamber’s programs and services from the staff and
volunteers. This is a casual lunch event held every month at the
Chamber and it is open to both new and existing members.
Provide Marketing Opportunities
• Ribbon Cuttings -We
will help you celebrate company milestones, whether you have
opened your first, second, or eighteenth location, you have
recently expanded your business, or you have celebrated your
first or hundredth year in business. We can assist you with
crafting a marketing event around your achievement. This is a
complimentary service that will showcase your company and give
you exposure through our pre and post-event publicity.
• Online Membership Directory &
Upgraded Listings - We provide exposure for our
member companies in our online directory – last year, over
280,000 online referrals were given to our members. Not only is
general information about your business listed by name and by
type of business, your website is automatically linked to ours.
And, you can upgrade your listing which adds a map link, email
link, and 75-word description of who you are and what you do.
• Member
Calendar of Events -
If you are having an event, we will advertise it for free on our
website. Think of us as another place to send your news
releases.
• Sell More. Target Your
Market. Our Chamber member mailing lists can be
purchased to use for your company’s advertising and marketing
mailings. You can reach thousands of fellow members.
• Verbal Referrals - The
Chamber receives more than 2,000 calls each month from the
public requesting information on different types of businesses.
When we receive a request, we will refer our members. It’s a
great business generator.
• Target Those Relocating to
Albuquerque - The Chamber mails more than 250
relocation packets each month to potential movers to the
Albuquerque area. Now you can market before they move. As a
member, you can include your marketing flyer in this packet.
• Members-Only Website Access -
Our website provides members access to the exclusive
“members-only” section which provides free business tips and
lists of resources, highlights new and existing members with
photos and stories, lists our member-to-member discount program
participants, and more.

Special Member Pricing -
Just by being a member, you will get
exclusive discounts on the Chamber’s ticket prices, tradeshow
booth fees, and advertising rates.
Provide Training and Education
• Best
Practices Events –
Held three
times during the year, these events strive to provide
peer-to-peer education. Topics of importance to you as a
business leader will be discussed from those who have found the
way to do it well. Learn what they did, how they did it, what
they avoided doing, and their lessons learned. Incorporate real
life practical knowledge into your business world by attending
these great events.
• Membership
Seminar Event –
In February 2007, we will be
hosting a nationally recognized speaker to give you solid
strategies for improving your business. Training that you cannot
get anywhere else in New Mexico.
Advertising Assistance
Media Blitz Package for
New Members –When you join us, you
will have the opportunity to reach hundreds of thousands of
potential clients and customers. You will have the largest
variety of advertising found in any single media package
anywhere in New Mexico. You can get vouchers for advertising on
KOB-TV 4 and Comcast Cable.
Free Publicity on Citadel
Radio Stations – Citadel
Communications continually supports the Greater Albuquerque
Chamber of Commerce by offering every new member a welcoming
banner ad thanking them for their support in helping to make
Albuquerque a better place to live and work. This announcement
type ad will feature your business name, and a brief description
of what you’re all about!
Electronic Message
Repeater Board – New members are
listed on our downtown message repeater board for an entire
month after they join. This high-tech message repeater, located
in Downtown Albuquerque on 2nd and Gold, provides
24-hour advertising. The Chamber’s high-traffic location
provides the best opportunities for exposure to the fast-paced
Downtown and city-wide audience!
