The Spring Vendor Fair, hosted by the UNM purchasing department, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, in the Student Union Building Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair allows participants networking opportunities to create new business opportunities and strengthen existing business relationships within the UNM community. It also helps to provide small and disadvantaged businesses a greater opportunity to compete fairly and equally in the market. University purchasing agents, staff and faculty will be attending the fair to learn about the products and services area businesses can provide. The business participation fee is $60, which includes a booth consisting of a 6’ skirted table, 8’ background curtain, two chairs, one line identification sign (35 letters) and one parking pass. Newspapers in Education, an organization within the ALBUQUERQUE PUBLISHING COMPANY, has provided newspapers, training and materials to teachers since 1976. The group is looking for corporate sponsors to help provide funding for newspapers for classrooms, a monthly letter, calendar of events, e-mail activities and access to on-line materials for teachers.
